The Community Infrastructure Levy was identified in the Government’s Planning Bill in November 2007 and is intended to ensure that the costs incurred in providing the community infrastructure required to support development can be met. The Levy is intended to replace existing arrangements that allow the Borough of Poole to secure funding from new development towards play spaces, parks, affordable housing, schools, transport and other infrastructure. This Development Plan Document will set out how the Borough of Poole will implement the Levy.
